COLLECTION
A Place Where Things Are Born
✦ A Place Where Things Are Born
Most properties are consumed.
Shope Creek Wilderness produces.
For more than a decade, people have come to Shope Creek Wilderness and left with something they did not have when they arrived.
A song.
A film.
A friendship.
A new idea.
A new direction.
A new life.
A deeper relationship with nature.
A deeper relationship with themselves.
The value of Shope Creek Wilderness is not the acreage.
The value of Shope Creek Wilderness is what happens there.
✦ Today, Shope Creek Wilderness Already Contains
Forest Floor

✦ The Gallery
The role of a gallery partner such as Open Hearts is not simply to hang artwork.
The gallery becomes the bridge between the forest and the public.
A place where people encounter what was created at Shope Creek Wilderness.
Every exhibit becomes an invitation
Come see what happened here.
Come experience it for yourself.
✦ The Archive
Over time, Shope Creek Wilderness becomes an archive of human creativity.
Every film.
Every song.
Every photograph.
Every story.
Every artist.
Every residency.
Every gathering.
Every transformation.

Different names for the same idea.
A place where things are born.
A place where people return.
A place where stories begin.
A place where creativity, nature, stewardship, and community meet.
Not a property.
An institution.
